Playing conditions during Level 3 Lockdown
Tennis can be played under the following guidelines for members within their bubble.
From Tuesday afternoon you must ring me and arrange a time to play, giving details of all players. I will give you a code for the gate (which will change regularly). The previous code has already been deleted. On arrival at the court you must complete the Court Register form on the table outside Perry's office (using your own pen) filling in details of date, players, court played on and time of arrival and departure. This form is the basis of our contact tracing system and must be completed. Players who not not complete the form will be precluded from making another booking while level 3 is in force.
You must wear gloves to use the pinpad and then use the hand sanitiser which will be on the table. Use the hand sanitiser on leaving the club also.
Do not use adjacent courts if there are other people playing. Please keep at least 2 metres away from other players not in your group. Do not touch any other group's tennis balls or equipment or any other club fixtures. The clubrooms, toilets and water fountain are locked or have been disabled. Children playing must be accompanied by an adult and no other spectators are allowed. Court 6 is locked off to store club furniture. Do not let anyone in the gate as if they are allowed to play they will also have been given the code. Leave as soon as you have finished playing. Take all your rubbish with you.
These regulations are required by Tennis NZ and the government. Please adhere to them so we can continue to operate and have the courts available to those club members who can play within their bubble. Since Tennis NZ have only put out these details this afternoon it will take until Tuesday lunchtime to get everything in place. Please contact me if you have any queries or wish to book a court.
Regards,
Jeanette Hatten.
